THOMAS LEWTAS of POULTON

John Lewtas and Jennet Anyon married at St Michael's on 23rd November 1686
THOMAS LEWTAS was born c 1704 Over Wyre and died in Poulton in 1774
Matthew living in Poulton aged 56 in 1792 ( born 1736) (next generation from Thomas) with his estate in Hambleton. Presumably this is Matthew who married Mary West (see his will) He is described in the will as ‘of Poulton’ He had the Boggery Gate in Hambleton. He died in 1797.
 
Thomas inherited the business from his father while George's  father John, Thomas's  elder brother, was the landlord of the Plough in 1792.  Thomas is recorded in Baines' 1825 Directory as a Baker & Flour Dealer in Sheaf Street, with George as a joiner in Breck Street.
